Gong Mei is considered the third grade of Chinese white tea after Silver Needle and Bai Mu Dan, and above Shou Mei. It is made from one bud plus two or three leaves and is harvested later than Bai Mu Dan. This creates a slightly darker, stronger yet mellow cup with pleasant flowery fragrance and beautiful depth in the aftertaste

How to prepare Tea : Gaiwan
Amount of tea per cup (200 ml) - 5g (2 teaspoon)
Temperature of water - 80℃ / 194℉
Infusion time - 1-3 mins as desired
Number of infusions - 4+

Here we share an extract from our our book Tales of the tea trade Mr Zheng : ‘I retired from the army in 2004 and returned to Fuding. I had a vision of starting my own business and I was friends with the boss from an import-export company in Xiamen[....] he suggested that I start in tea – specifically, in organic tea.’ [....] Investing in organic certification for the garden has not been an easy path. It costs a lot of money and it’s hard to convince people it really is organic.
