Tea Maker :  Li Family : Sanxia, Taiwan : The Li family operate in a tea model that can be linked back to the days when tea was controlled as a government monopoly - a time when small growers would sell their leaves to government run factories.  The Li family produce tea every day of the year in their factory - using skills honed over multiple generations - apart from the winter when tea bushes are dormant.

Origin / Garden name and location : The leaf for this tea is sourced from pesticide free gardens in Sanxia which is in the southwestern part of New Taipei 400 - 500m ASL
Harvest Time :  2023
Cultivar : Fine picking of smaller Qing Xin Gan Zhi [please read more on Taiwanese cultivars by clicking on this link -  this cultivar is the base for many of the famously fragrant high mountain teas in Taiwan which when combined with the terroir and black tea processing explains the profile of this tea]

Oxidation & Baking : High Oxidation; no baking
Plucking standard : Hand Picked young leaves and buds
