In more depth...
Provenance: Uji, Japan
Sencha Superior Tea Grade: Our Sencha tea is graded ‘Superior’ and is an everyday, affordable, high quality Sencha. It is from the Ichibancha or first flush harvest, the first of the year, taking place in early Spring. This crop is richer in aromas than later teas and more highly prized.
Sencha Superior Tea Origin: Our Sencha Superior tea is made up of teas grown by farms located in Uji, Kyoto. To maintain the same quality of flavour each year most Sencha teas are blends of teas harvested at different farms. This combination is different each year. The tea farms producing the tea for our Sencha are between seven and thirty seven hectares in size.
Sencha Superior Tea Flavour: Sencha tea makes a golden green liquor. It has a gentle refreshing aroma. The rich mellow taste is a fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Sencha superior is ideal for those who have not tasted much sencha before.
