On the 31st August Comins Tea House will be at the Great British Family Fayre where we will be holding a workshop showcasing our unique British Teaware.  The British Family Fayre is a free family day out organised by a normal British family who want to prove that our nation still leads the world in manufacture, farming & production. Our Tea House has been open just over a month now and it's been great to share tea with so many new customers.  We wanted to write a little about it - but then we thought - it's not really about what we think - it is about how the space & the experience feel to our customers.  So, over the next few months we will be asking a few of our lovely customers to share their views. A few weeks ago our tea bowls, tea tins & tea napkins were picked for the Blog & Buy Sale #springwishlist.  The wish list http://stall.blogandbuysale.com is a curated list of the very best products available online.  The aim of the list is to pull together the ultimate list of creative products sold by independent artists and designers.  As you know we are great advocates of British design & this list just goes to show what a fantastic array of talent there is in the UK & beyond! We may have seemed quiet for a while but behind the scenes it has been all go at Comins Tea House. Our beautiful twin daughters arrived in August and since then we have been working every day to renovate our Georgian home and bring the previously redundant shop side back to life as our new teahouse. My journey started with a two-train trip out into the beautiful Japanese countryside. After the crowded hubbub of Osaka this was a welcome relief and gave a very different view of life in Japan. I left the train and met up with my wonderful host for the day, and we were soon on the way to her office deep in tea country. From the brief car journey her passion for Japanese tea was clear.
